Contributes standard weight to the Trust Score
JoberTrust Checked Reviews add an extra layer of accountability by allowing customers to support their reviews with evidence that is privately checked by JoberTrust.
See what makes a review Checked, what evidence we look for, and why Checked Reviews carry greater weight in the Trust Score.
A JoberTrust Checked Review is a customer review supported by evidence that has been submitted for JoberTrust's private checking process.
The evidence helps JoberTrust assess whether the review is reasonably connected to the transaction or experience being described.
Checked status means the supporting evidence passed JoberTrust's checking process.
A Checked Review is an additional trust signal — not a guarantee that every statement in the review is true.
Both are valuable. Checked Reviews add an additional layer of evidence.
Contributes standard weight to the Trust Score
Carries 2× review weight in the Trust Score
The customer describes their actual experience with the professional.
The customer may provide relevant evidence such as payment receipts, invoices, work-related documents, photographs or other appropriate supporting material.
JoberTrust privately reviews the submitted evidence to determine whether it reasonably supports the review.
The evidence is considered for consistency, relevance and connection to the transaction or experience described.
If the evidence passes the checking process, the review may receive the JoberTrust Checked designation.
A Checked Review carries 2× the weight of a standard review when calculating the Trust Score.
Relevant bank transfer confirmation, payment receipt or other payment evidence.
An invoice that reasonably corresponds with the service or transaction.
Relevant photographs or documentation showing the work or service provided.
Documents that help establish that the described transaction or service took place.
Other material that reasonably helps connect the reviewer, professional and transaction.
Evidence must be relevant to the review and reasonably connected to the transaction or experience being described.
Submitting a genuine receipt does not automatically make a review Checked.
“I paid a professional to repaint my house.”
₦2,000
A ₦2,000 payment receipt would not, by itself, reasonably support a claim about repainting an entire bungalow if the amount and other transaction details are inconsistent with the service being described.
This is not a fixed minimum payment, and no particular amount automatically passes or fails. The assessment is based on the overall consistency and relevance of the evidence.
When supporting evidence contains identifying information, the information should reasonably correspond with the people involved in the transaction.
This helps prevent someone from submitting another person's receipt or an unrelated transaction as evidence for a review.
No single detail necessarily proves a transaction by itself. JoberTrust considers whether the evidence makes sense as a whole.
The payment cannot reasonably be connected to the professional or service described.
The names shown in the evidence do not reasonably correspond with the people involved.
The transaction details do not reasonably support the experience being described.
The document exists but does not provide enough information to connect it to the review.
Evidence that appears manipulated, falsified or intentionally misleading may be rejected.
The evidence does not reasonably support the specific claim made in the review.
The existence of a receipt does not automatically make a review Checked.
Payment receipts, invoices, photographs and other supporting evidence submitted for checking are used for JoberTrust's private review process.
Supporting evidence is not publicly displayed on the professional's profile as part of the Checked Review.
Before a user can submit a review:
JoberTrust expects users and professionals to create accounts using their real names.
This helps to:
Real-name registration and account verification improve accountability, but they do not by themselves prove that every statement in a review is true.

JoberTrust Checked Review
JoberTrust uses a weighted review system when calculating Trust Score.
Reviews supported by evidence that passes JoberTrust's checking process carry 2× the weight of standard reviews.
This gives evidence-backed reviews greater influence without allowing a single review to determine a professional's entire Trust Score.
JoberTrust is designed to make professional reputation more accountable and transparent.
A Checked Review does not automatically mean JoberTrust has accepted every statement made by the customer. The Checked designation indicates that the supporting evidence passed JoberTrust's checking process.

JoberTrust does not simply ask:
“Is there a receipt?”
We ask:
“Does the evidence reasonably support the transaction and experience being described?”
